we have a matco Maximus scanner at my shop. After hooking it up to my 2008 explorer, I found a function that allows reprogramming wheel power distribution. I would like to attempt to program it to be 2wd all of the time unless I engage 4wd. Has anyone done this, or does anyone know if this will mess up anything in the transfer case? I figure this would be easier to do than cutting wires and adding switches or relays. It seems to be that all of the options to change it are in the scanner, so it should be fairly simple. I would just go ahead and try it but am not sure yet because I am in the process of a head gasket job on my tacoma and need this to drive around. Any help will be appreciated!
