So i have an 05 explorer that i had to replace head gaskets on. While i was at it i replaced all the timing chains as well. i got this thing back together go to start it up and one of the injectors got stuck open somehow and dumped fuel into cylinder 2 and hydrolocked the piston causing it to bend the rod, and have the counter balancer get seized under the piston skirt. needless to say i had to repull the motor for the 3rd time and find the problem of why it was seized.
so im replacing 1 piston, 1 rod and a set of piston rings... cylinder wall luckily didnt suffer any damage in the process of this.
Does anyone know the model number for the conrod and piston for the 2005 4.0 engines?
It’s 4wheel drive as well if that matters.
