SAS on a 91 ford explorer help

I got me a 91 explorer 4x4 manual locking hubs etc. I'm looking into a SAS but wondering what kind of work and hassle to watch out and what not. What rigs have you takin a straight axle from? If you used a donor truck, any help tips and advice would be greatly appreciated.
