So I bought a 1992 F150

Regular cab, short box, 5.0l OHV, E40D transmission, 4x4, sport package.

Paid $200 for it, has 289,000 km on it. Fairly clean, a few dents, some rust, you know. Tons of potential.

Anyway, the transmission doesn't go into reverse. Can anyone get me a decent source on a step-by-step replacement for this transmission.

I've got a '92 F150 that me and my dad replaced the trans on. It doesn't have 4x4 but I bet the process is nearly the same. I'll look for my Chiltons Manual and see what I can see like if it lists anythung about a 4x4.
