two weeks ago I took my '01 Sport to dealer (mistake #1) and had them diagnose CEL. told me it was some sensor--they fixed (supposedly, although I heard the manager tell another customer on the phone that all they had there that day were "oil changers"). When I picked it up, drove 5 miles and CEL came back on. Took it back and they fixed another sensor DPFE(?). No extra charge, so good--CEL stays off this time. 10 days later, I start it, and I heard a unnatural "clank" from under the hood as I start it, but it starts and runs fine for the rest of the day--no problems starting and restarting all day. The next day I try to start, and it starts and immediately dies. I try to give it some gas when starting--no avail. I wait and try later, same thing. 3 days later and it's still sitting in my driveway.
      So--IAC? Fuel pump?, filter?
      thanks.

Its hard to say without actually being there. My first opinion would be either the IAC or the MAF ensor, but without much info to go on its only a guess.
