Stuck bed cover latch?

Hi guys! I live in Sweden, Europe, and sport tracs are rare here so not much help to get. I just bought an 03 with the rear part of the cover part inoperative. The lock and cables works and the left latch releases but the right one doesnt so it wont fold open. I been on my back trying to pry the lock open and it looks like the mechanism connected to the wire moves fully but I can't get it to release the grip of the pin, sorry for me English . Any suggestion? I am thinking of removing the small bolts that holds the latch assembly just to get it out in the open to see what's going in but the bolts are really tiny and feels just like they might brake any second....

Well guys, I can answer this one myself now. All that was needed was some tlc. The cover has not been used for years as it seems and needed oil and minor adjustments and now works just fine! Lessons learned here is to not forget to lubricate latches, hinges and other hardware.
