- 1999 ford explorer
So i have a 1999 ford explorer v6 sohc. and there are no tow hooks up front. i want them because i drive in the dunes and i have gotten stuck once out there and 3 1/2 hours of digging with a machete i know have two shovels tow rope and more lol. sorry no pics of it 
to stupid to take them haha. anyways back to the question i already have universal hooks that i inherited do to my brother moving out 4 years ago and leaving them behind lol. now were would be a good spot to mount them were there out of the way. and another question on the rear i have the stock bumper and i do tow. not enough weight to consider a tow hitch as i tow a 8ft flatbed trailer with three dirt bikes tops usually just one. but under the bumper there are those chain hooks that you hook the trailer chains to. can i use that as a recovery point or are they not strong enough? Any help or pics of how you did it would be greatly appreciated. thanks.
