tranny problems

have 93 4by4 auto explorer. the tranny wont shift out of first unless i let off the gas. pulled vac line off the side of the tranny and fluid came out. does this mean a bad modulator??? any ideas on what replacement costs? changed the tranny fluid and filter and doesnt help.

yes that means a bad modulator. A shop ought to charge you about $70 to replace it.
