Transmission interchange New member

Hi, I need an understanding if the 5r55w transmission in my 2002 ford explorer can be interchanged with a 5r55s transmission from 2003 Eddie Bauer. Thanks in advance for the insight

We dont swap units around at the shop but from what I have read you can get away with this swap on the earlier models, pre 2006.
