nice truck man... looks good!!
Really nice truck! I was originally looking for an ST when I found, fell in love with, and got a terrific deal on my X Limited. If not for that, I would probably be following in your footsteps, even though I doubt that I would be nearly as successful in making it look so good.
alright im in the middle of lifting my truck and ive got the spindles made the shackles but my rear end is saggin how do i get it up? also im at about 90,000 miles and starting to worry about the timing belt or chain so i went to the parts house and they could find nothing so my question is 01 4.0 sohc chain or belt. have u had any problems out of ur upper a arms after lifting? ok thanks.
more questions to follow
Congrats. Nice looking truck that looks like it can handle itself out in the wilderness.
nice sport trac you got there john
Adam, I am pretty sure that the 4.0 sohc engine uses chains. But my thread is not the best place to ask this question. Try doing a search first. If you can't find the results you are looking for then, try posting a question here: http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=100
My rear is lifted up because I did a spring over axle conversion.
thats a really good lookin trac you got there weewee
Just read all the posts, they said about everything I wanted to say how about "Damn nice truck"!

Sweet!!! I want mine to look like that!
Nice looking Sport Trac..I am always amazed at what a lift and big tires do to transform a vehicles looks!
What is the snorkel cap made of? and how effective is it? best lookin sport trac i've ever seen btw.
It's been a while since this truck was featured on our forum. Today I was reading my copy of Petersen's 4 Wheel and Offroad Magazine. I was looking in the reader's rides section when I noticed a picture with the caption, "Severe Duty Sport Trac. I read the information and found out that it belonged to John. Congrats to you John
I know I emailed a photo in a long time ago. I can't even remember when I did that or what photo I sent. I guess, I'm heading to the stores to check it out.
Oops, forgot that some of you that may be interested in this may pick it up in a store instead of having a subscription like I do. Since I have a subscription, I guess I get them earlier than the stores do
So just keep an eye out. It's in the August issue. The cover will have a yellow truck climbing rocks and the feature article is "Trail Survival: Keep On Wheeling. What To Bring & How To Use It."
I'll have to do the same. Congrats
I saw it in the magazine as well. Congrats
thats a beautiful truck and it's amazing that you put it to such use looking that good.
Just wanted to bring this back up so that we all can see it again or for some the first time. RIP John and thanks for the awesome look at your truck
