Been lurking a while, just picked up a 97 Explorer Sport. Great condition for its age. 4.0 Automatic/4x4. Been looking around for mods and fixes. I'm gathering parts for an SAS conversion.

      '17 XLT 3.5 App/Tech pkg
New to forum and SUV's. Just purchased a '17 Explorer XLT with some goodies-202A/Tech and Appearance package. AWD as needed for the arctic. Has the 3.5 Vi-VCT. Coming off an '08 F150 XTR+ with 5.4l. In the frigid temps most of gas was warming up truck so went with the 3.5 and needed a change so went with the explorer and happy so far. No dealer here so I do all of my own wrenching unless it is warranty work then dealer I bought from said they will outsource the work to a local contractor. But past couple trucks have been great and never needed warranty.

      1998 Explorer
      AWD 5.0
Hello all. I acquired a 1998 explorer 5.0 AWD about 4 years ago. It had 221098 miles on it when I got it. It now has 251987 miles on it. No work had been done to it other than changing the air filter and oil and filter. I am looking to make this a work truck. I have fallen in love with it and will be replacing the motor and transmission this winter when work slows down. Now I am starting to have some issues so please be gentle with me. I love to learn new things and I'm not scared to get dirty, just need to get the correct information in order to get thing running right.

      2005 SPORT TRAC ADRENALIN
New Member needing some advice on a recent problem with my 05 Sport Trac 4.0L (K - Flex Fuel).
I saw a post from leftlane36 about E85 causing issues with his O2 sensors. I have owned my Sport Trac since 2009.
I have always used Unleaded 87 Octane in my truck, until recently. I ran one full tank of E85 through it, and within 3 or 4 days
my truck threw 2 emission codes - bank 1 too rich and bank 2 too rich. Cleared the codes and they came back the same day.
Not sure if I ruined the O2 sensors or what??? I have been told that my truck will need to be re-programmed???Has anyone else
      had this happen to them?
