I am wanting to get the most articulation on my 98 Explorer XLT? I am wanting as much flex as I can get with minimal lift. Would a 4 link rear be the best or even better a 3 link? I am in the thought process right now.

Triangulated 4 link is generally considered best. Are you planning on a SAS?

Consider a spring over axle swap, it will give great flex without major fabrication.

Don't bother doing anything to the rear until you do major improvements to the front!

x2 on Ranger X

i have the 4 inch Superlift with custom shackles, and longer shocks, and a 4 link will leave me in the lurch hangin a tire,,

the real problem is the front, youe not going to get any more flex out of the front than i have with the Superlift and coilovers, ,.

and to be honest,, it's not much if you're doing any serious rock crawling,,
it just isn't really made for that,
