Im rebulding an old warn winch what should I use to grease the planaterys? bearing grease?? thanks nathan

i think bearing grease would work. but im wondering if one with teflon would be better. teflon is popular in the cycling world where friction is the enemy. i use this junx:

heard this company makes good teflon grease too ("PTFE" is teflon: wikipedia ):

you could also go with a synthetic grease (like mobil 1's). dunno if they've got teflon or not tho - i guess you could check the MSDS (usually available at their websites)
.

thanks I ended up packing the planatery assy with dialectric grease it is heavy duty stuff it dose not dry up like the teflon grease. I appricate the response IZwack. I am going to use it like this and open it up and seee how it is doing and if it looks ok I wil leave it. Thanks again.
