wont rev past 2500 rpm

      My explorer won’t go past 2500 RPMS when in drive, when in park or neutral it revs fine I can’t figure out what it is, I just changed the transmission but this problem was happing before the transmission
      Went did I buy a bad used tranny.can anyone give me any suggestions

      try resetting your computer by unplugging the battery for 15min if that does not work your computer may need to be reflashed or replaced

      ya never thought of that does it do it in gear #2 or reverse

      i changed my torque converter when i changed the tranny, but agin it was a used tranny and used torque.

      Was the tranny rebuilt??
      Mine was rebuilt and I still can't get it to work.
      I may end up with the same problems.
      Did yours slide in and up to the motor over the pins easy?

      it did not the first time i put it in, the reason being was that the torque was not set right and it jamed the flywheel do your x start and drive

      I got my trany running!!

      But I have slipping on take-off???
      when moving it seems fine but on take-off it really slips and goes at about 2500 rpm's
      Did you have any similar problems with yours??
