I've owned my EX for about a year now, 10 months and 30k miles ago I replaced the lower ball joints with items from ebay.

I ripped out the front suspension tonight to replace the lower bushes and I've found them both to be sloppy (accounts for the noise going over bumps).

I had suspected one of them and had bought a replacement before hand. Compairing the old and my new, the old one's (again from ebay) are very poor quality, the rubber boot is perished and split, even the quality of the castle nut and the metal used on the ball joint is crap. I didn't know any difference at the time.

So lesson learnt, spend a few quid more and do the job once.

Also beware of some of the products being sold on ebay....not OEM quality

I've learned my lesson in the past - if you are buying parts, its better to buy quality parts and do the job once rather than save a few bucks and have to do it over again and again. That goes double for suspension or brake parts.

Agreed,
I'm on my third set of tie rod ends in a three years. Finally did it right and bought MOOG greasable ends. Damn I hate suspension noises.
