4.11s is my vote.

There is a chart on here somewhere that shows what gears for what tire size-- 4.88's at least for 37's.

Do a search.

4.56 or 4.88 will give you the most factory style speeds. but with 37's you could run 5.13 and have some better performance offroad. but dont plan on driving any distance on highways.... youll be at about 2800 rps doing 60

My vote would be 4.88 at least and 5.13 ideally. Highway speeds can vary from 60 to 75+ and there is a lot of drag to running 37's on the road. That is the price we pay for over sized tires and heavy drivetrain.

You'd be surprised how much the truck wakes up with even a mild regearing from stock. In my case I went from 3.55's to 4.33's with 265/75 r16's - 32.5's and it was very impressive the get up and go I had despite the larger and heavier tires. YMMV.

I have 5.13 and 35's and going 65mph i am turning under 3000rpms. At 55 I am turning around 2100 rpms. Mine is a m5od manual transmission and according to the forums has a .79 geared overdrive

A4ld automatics (according to the forums) has an overdrive of .75

Assuming you have an automatic

5.13 gears, 37" tires, .75 overdrive, 55 mph = 1922
5.13 gears, 37" tires, .75 overdrive, 65 mph = 2271
5.13 gears, 37" tires, .75 overdrive, 70 mph = 2446
5.13 gears, 37" tires, .75 overdrive, 75 mph = 2620

I used this calculator
http://www.crawlpedia.com/rpm_gear_calculator.htm

If you go under a 4.88 ratio you will probably regret it. If you are turning heavy mud terrains on steel rims they will be more rolling mass than an all terrain tire on an aluminum rim. That is something else to think about.

My friend said i should do 5.33 p.s. i have an automatic and i want dome tires like mud grapplers and my wheels are 16 inch steel wheels

I think im going to get 5.13s i do about 65-70when iim on the highway . How would they befor 25-35 mph roads

Getting a set of 35 inch mud grapplers on steelwheels i think i have 3.54 right now and used your calculator to check it and it said at 25 itd be like 650 and 65 1990
