I have a 1991 explorer eddie bauer and i was wonderin if anyone had an idea of how hard it is to swap a 5.0 in it with a manual tranny. i have an auto now. i have the tools. im new at the explorer thing. lemme kno ur thoughts??

It's been done lots. search 5.0 swap, or v8 swap or 302 swap, and go from there. There are 1001 ways to do it, from using adapters to putting a full size drive train in, to gen 2 v-8 swaps, etc. I haven't done it but have done quite a bit of research on it, as I had once planed to. Maybe when this motor goes or when it hits 500,000km. It's got 339,000 km on it no.

Is the vehicle a Manual transmission car already? Helps If the Pedal assembly for the clutch is alreday there.

hey man can u take a picture of ur starter solenoid? i think i have the wires hooked up wrong. i was gonna go to the junkyard and look at one but i didnt have time. think u can help me out?
