Zimmerman Rear Leaf Mod

Has anyone done the Zimmerman rear leaf modification with a spring under? I currently have a JD 2 1/2" lift. The rear is sagging about 1 1/2". Does anyone know if the Zimmerman mod will pick up an inch or so? I picked up a set of 91 2wd Ranger leafs this weekend. Any suggestions??

Brett,
I have the Zimmerman mod on my 93 with a 2.5" JD lift. As for brining up the rear, the Zimmerman mod, I don't think, will really bring up the rear. When I first completed mine, I thought that it had. However, after several days, the springs resettled and were the same as before. I did, however, replace the cut explorer main leaf with a Rough Country full length add-a-leaf which brought the rear up another inch to an inch and a half. I am also, hopefully next weekend, going to be building a set of shackles that will be able to increase articulation by a fair amount. I can't wait to test out the design.
