  • Greetings sir!

I am currently stationed overseas in Japan & preparing to move to Alaska as my next base. I have my mountaineer at my mechanic's in NJ being worked on. I am in the process of convincing him to do the BW4406 swap, he is not convinced that this swap is a viable alternative to the AWD. He thinks the part is too big & also keyed to the fact that I am driving that vehicle to Alaska, so he doesn't like the idea of an "experimental" modification & sending me off on a road trip. I can appreciate that, but I have done my homework on here; I was hoping you could help me, as you had done the best write-up of anyone on here for the transfer, w/what your experience was post-swap & anything you can recommend that would make it clear to him its not a difficult matter... I apologize for the lengthy message & appreciate all input if youre willing to share. Thanks for taking the time to read this & to put together that write-up for the swap; it has helped me greatly in my research.
