Hi all. I worked in the States 2007 to 2010 and hired a Ford Mustang on my days off work it was fitted with a 4L V6 I was impressed with its performance, when I got back to Australia I bought a 2006 Ford Currier 4X4 utility fitted with the same 4L V6 motor, these truck were rare as there were only a few imported new from South Africa right hand drive. At the time there were no trained machinics here trained on this motor, so when a head gasket leaked I got thrown in the deep end and had to get familiar with the motor, sourcing information from sites like this one, the truck has now clocked up 200,000 and is now due for a timing chain set so with your help, here I go again. Ps I’ve just picked up a 2005 Land Rover Discovery fitted with you guessed it 4L Ford V6 with bent inlet valves. see my response to gotabob’s post.
