OK, so an update on my progress. I've checked tranny fluid level and condition (seems good), replaced the alternator (and regulator), sprayed the wiring harness with dialectric, and checked for obviously damaged wires, none found. The P0743 code is gone (not sure what cleared it) but the P0715...
