Thanks Brian but I don't want to re-wire the Exploder.. seems like a good fix, but I'd rather get to the root of the problem!

I have an 06 XLT w/149k miles.. runs like new except the power points do not put out enough voltage to charge a phone... tested voltage and they are only 10.5 -11.2 instead of 12 volts needed to charge. This began when the original battery died in 2010 and the dealer put in a new battery...

I found if you don't pull it all the way out. when putting it on it won't tighten.. have the same issue with my wife riding shotgun

Same thing happened to my 06 at 39k miles .. just out of warranty... cost m $600 to get new one... I heard there were enough complaints that Ford put out a service Bulletin.. but No recall!

Had Plugs changed at 100k miles.... and began smelling burnt oil/fuel in the cabin on hard acceleration... turned out the mechanic cross threaded a plug when installing on my 2006 6 cyl xlt. went to a different mechanic after 2 weeks of smelling this coming into the cabin, and he found ne of...
