    Wanted: Factory Subwoofer; 2004 Explorer.

Looking for the factory subwoofer box/sub behind the rear right panel from someone who's ditched theirs for a better unit. I did upgrade my system, and for some reason unknown to myself, I must have junked the original box/sub!! and now I have plans on trading in the X for something a little...

Battery light on after installing new alternator

I ordered a 200A 3G Alternator for my 04, 4.8L and it turned out that my Ex ran a 4G alternator, no big deal I thought, same plug. So I wired it up and, it's charging fine. But, my "Check Charging System" and battery light are on. I wanted to get to the bottom of this, so I was looking into...

    Shake from 60 to 70 2002 EXPLORER

If it's completely blown, you can turn it upside down, and the piston just drops. :p

Did you notice this little detail on your '03? Or am I crazy?

With mine being the Eddie Bauer V8, I have so many emblems on the rear hatch, it's a pain to clean. Have the Explorer, Eddie Bauer, V8, and the Advance Trac emblem back there.

    ? Regarding ESP Rental

I had the same thing done. Rear end was rebuilt under my purchased extended warranty, I was put in a 2006/2007 Ford Taurus. Not a bad car.

    Electric brake module plug?

I have a harness for the Electric brakes in a ziploc bag in the glove box from the dealership when I bought the truck. I'm sure I'd have to wire something in, But I have yet to even open the package and read the instructions - Hah.

New to me 2003 XLT - Rides Rough

That's one I like about my Ex, the fact that it rides like a truck. A little stiffer suspension than you'd imagine for a $52,000 SUV(04' Eddie Bauer V8 Window Sticker Price, I even still have the original), but, It's still comfortable enough to take it on long trips.

    Shopping tires.....

My 04' has tone rings at each of the rear wheels. I had to have one replaced due to ABS issues(broken ring) I'll have to investigate.

Still itchin' to get some new shots taken. I may today. She's a little dirty from playing yesterday in the woods. Maybe the dirt will add some character to the photos ;p Weather is a bit blah too, oh well ;x

    Spacers Finally Out!

Any particular reason why you took it all out? Had enough with the lifted Ex? Or too much wear and tear? I've had my lift in for a year now, and I've yet to have any major issues other than the larger tires using more fuel

How long does the Explorer live?

    81,000 miles/131,000kms on mine, 2004 EB, 4.6L.

Better off with stock sized tires?

Only thing I've noticed with the tire size increase is more fuel, but that was to be expected. It hurts a little bit when I'm paying equiv. $5.01 USD/Gal. :D - You gotta pay to play.

Haha, thanks. It's kind of funny, a lot of people laugh at me when I take mine to the wash a lot, because it's a lifted truck with big tires, they almost expect it to be dirty. I like to keep mine in a nice and clean condition. Play when I can, but it goes back to clean right away haha - I have...

Nice, clean X! I swore I was looking at a photo of mine when I first glanced at those. The tires very much resembled the DuraTracs at first.

It hits pretty good. I haven't really turned it up too much, for some reason I feel like my fiberglass box is going to explode into a million pieces if the gain is too high or something. But, I think it sounds great for the sound quality you'd expect from a sealed box type system. It definitely...

    New BTF Lift and Tires!

All I did was install the four strut spacers I purchased from Brandon at BTF. Installed them myself with a little bit of time on my hands. After they were in, I sent the truck in for a 4 wheel alignment. No other parts are required to do the simple spacer lift. I see Brandon does make the...

Dimensions of 2002 Explorer with folding seats down?

I've fit 4 x 8 plywood in mine, fits if I keep the hatch open and down on the wood. 8ft is pushing it for length :P - 4 ft wide is a little close at the rear wheel well panels, but It will fit. It's amazing what you can make fit in there ;p

Thanks guys, it sounds as good as it looks. I have a few rattles to work out in the panels and amp rack, but that's to be expected. But other than that it plays pretty damn loud. I'm really impressed with the amplified Kappa door speakers, talk about sound quality.

Haha, that's insane. A lot of sound pressure for sure. Doesn't even look like the subs are moving much!
