First of all is this possible?? The second gen 5.0 V8 that I want to use is from an AWD explorer, my first gen 92 is a 4x4. I am wondering how much work is involved in this and if it even works. Would I have to change the transmition also? how could I adapt the V8 to the 4x4? thanks guys.

OK, I really would love a 1998-01 Explorer V8, but I want 2WD, Do all of the 98 and up explorers come standard with 4x4?? It's driving me crazy!
