That depends on why you are lifting it.Are you doing it for just looks and bigger tires.Or more ground clearence?For bigger tires you could do a torsion twist/shackles.Or body lift,But if you want more ground clearence you could do a suspension lift!!!

As in my old post.I have changed both front and rear hall sensors,speed sensor,gem,all relays,shift motor,new t-case fluid,4wd switch.Also had it in 2 shops and they can not figure it out either.One shop told me it was the gem!!!I tried 2 of them thinking the first one was bad but no luck.

Is there anyway of running a hot wire to the shift motor, to engage manually? I have changed everything possible to change, still not working.

Thanks, I will try new fluid in transfer case. I had the codes read at a shop, they pin pointed it down to the GEM. I bought a new GEM last week, and still no luck.

Hello,My 4x4 quit working on my 1995 xlt.It has always worked fine.Untill a couple of weeks ago it quit and the lights will flash 6 times while driving down the road.I put on a new transfercase shift motor.And still the same thing nothing except for a click coming from the front passenger side...
