I have a 2001 ford explorer sports trac 4.6 it runs good most of the time but some times it loses power,likes its straving for gas then all of a sudden it will run good for a few days then it will act up again. does anyone have any ideas of what it may be?

its has a switch to shift into 4x4 I tried to but doesn't work, really don't want to have to shut truck off to shift into 4x4 cause Michigan gets too cold lol

found out it had a code p0351 which they said it was the ignition coil

i got a 2001 ford sports trac, its been spitting and sputtering and lose of power, can a ignition coil cause that issue or a maf sensor cause that problem, how can you test these?

I took off the iginiton coil and sanded the bracket and the coil and it seemed to fix my problem

I have a 2001 sports trac that was doing almost the same thing, I took the ignition coil off and sanded the metal contacts on the bottom and also the bracket that holds the coil and it seems to have fixed the problem

MINE WAS DOING THE SAME THING, I FOUND THAT THE PIN WHERE THE DOOR LOCKS TOO WAS LOOSE , I tightened it and it works perfect now without me slamming door

got one more question, how can you tell if a wheel bearing is going bad?

I have checked the harness and the connections look brand new theres no corrosion

ugh I took apart the motor and it was pretty well clean but part of the magnet was broke, I took out the piece and put it back together, also the shaft was in 2 hi also the shaft moved freely, but when I turn the switch on the dash it still doesn't unlock from 4 high, I put it up on jack stands...

when I spray that shaft and turn it back and fourth can I put it in 2 wd or do I put it back it 4 hi where it was stuck at?

I found a picture of the t case but cant figure out where you said to spray and turn with vise grips lol... I also checked fuses and relays and they are good, thanks, sorry for being a pain lol
