I dumped my 98 on my cousin all stock with 250,000 , mile long list of problems lol but it will still pass smog and i still got my 94 stock

According to this post it has to be a short, I could have pinched the wire placing the battery in??

Then what should I do?

What if the ignition switch was on? Its a little loose and may have been on?

I tried to lift and take pic but it wont move there are 3 pics but they dont show much nothing looked fried i moved the ac relay and if i get the fuseable link replace think it run?

A/c is not hooked up in the 94 anyway

Could i take the relay out the 98 explorer and place in the 94

My electrical knowledge is limited

That was the 98 with fuel pump and i think that is the starter relay solenoid and the fuseable link from the alternator to it , melted

My very first post on this forum was of an 98 this is a 94. The only thing that i can make from this is the part of the boot is slightly charred ( the pic with my hand) that is the same wire that is attached to the alternator

The battery is new too i was just driving monday or tuesday when it just died on me and wouldnt start again towed home check to see if lights worked and no then i knew battery wasnt getting charged and toom old alternator in to autozone and.said was no good so i got new battery and alternator...

The alternator is good.

Where can i buy a new fusible link ?

No idea what wired wrong all went back in same place unless the rebuilt alternator is bad? 3 wires to tje alt. Only go in one way, battery connections are almost dummy proof plus i doubled.checked unless it.was do to that boot not.being on ?

Or was it this back of alternator the same white wire with a boot on it ??

Om the 94 the battery sits.om passenger side , the relay aits.close on the inner fender and i seen wire from it to alternator, the smoke came from relay or so? White smoke as soon as it.was.grounded.on the battery
