expo is right the best buy warrenty on pioneer decks suck it takes 6 weeks to send out the deck and then when your sick of it busting you have to send it in 4 times and on the 5th they will replace it

you dont have to make a large modification for 6.5 i have infinity 6.5 right now in my front and rear door take a cardboard mold of you housing where the 5 by 7 sat and trafer it to half inch or three quater mdf cut it out and then cut your hole fo the 6.5 and tweeter and put it in place

you have to get an amp with a rating of 700 or more at 4ohms not max power youcan wire them in series and then get an amp 700 or more at 2 ohms make it a mono amp or a bridgable amp mono is better

what kind of 12's are you running

i imagine you used a line converter you have to turn the gain on it way down but it drops your voltage going to the amp therefore your better off getting an aftermaket headunit or get some type of eg the boost your voltage but it stillwont sound great

if you do find one ask for 316 or 309 stainless steel and take a brillo or scotch pad and rough it up you will get th look your going for definitlty dont use a wire wheel

gen 2 only have din and ahalf not double din you must do some custom work to make it double din
