Have you ever checked your battery cable lines that go from the battery to the starter? Sometimes it's lose after you put it in for a while. What kind of battery are you running? Maybe a stronger battery would help ie. an optima. Or your starter is sticky or maybe even a bad flywheel.

Have you tried checking your fuel lines/system? could be a semi clogged fuel filter. Maybe your throttle cable is loose. Sometimes the IAC goes bad but doesn't trigger the mother pc.

I've seen someone weld a cage out of exhaust piping on a suburban before, it helped it alot. It's like a skeleton for the muffler.

I have Bosch Platinum +4s on them, don't need to gap and they haven't caused me any problems at all.

They can cut the tips off of the muffler and weld smaller ones if you need em, my 91 explorer has a delta 40 series and it fits perfectly and sounds like a mustang. Exhaust shops will do anything if you pay them....
