Cigarette Smoke Removal from 'New to me' 2018

This! I did exactly this in my current Explorer that was probably smoked in for years. I shampoo'd every piece of fabric in it, wiped down all the plastic, and ran the ozone gen on re-circ for 1/2hr two separate times. I cannot even get a hint of smoke smell now.

    Stic-o' 2016 Explorer

I watched a couple videos on YouTube about upgrading from SYNC2 to SYNC3. Looks like most vehicles you only have to change out the USB port... except the F250! Is the Explorer just as easy? I'd really like CarPlay but I guess its not in the cards.

Section525's Early Bronco Project - Lets try this again

Bought some bandaids and gaskets and got this thing back on the road (not shown) after being in the garage for 5 months! I threw the hardtop back on so now I can DD it while I collect more parts! Feels good to have the whole stable running again.

    Snow mode - force 4WD?

I concur with good all season tires. I took our ‘13 Explorer snowboarding for 5 seasons and never had any issues. I couldn’t get it to break loose!

Section525's Early Bronco Project - Lets try this again

The motor obviously needs a lot of love anyway. It leaks from about everywhere it can. It's hard to start on cold mornings. It can definitely use a good clean-up if I'm going to try and milk it for a few more miles/months. On a good note - I did install the family cage a couple years ago. A...

Section525's Early Bronco Project - Lets try this again

I blew the head gasket in this thing a couple months back while coming back from taking the kids to school. Luckily it happened on the way home and not in the school parking lot. It was a white smoke show coming out the exhaust. This motivated me to hurry and find a donor Explorer for the 5.0...

    Section525's '97 V8 AWD v4.0?

I forget how many v8s I'm up to. The green one, the black one, the blue one, and now the grey one. I think that's all so far. I've been keeping my eyes peeled for the last year or so for an Explorer as a donor for my Bronco. I recently came across this one fairly locally. It was a 1-owner...

Talk about a low mileage Explorer

By my calcs she's driven it 500 miles a year for the last couple years. So what... four fuel fill-ups in two years? That's pretty good right there.
