    Rear wheel axial movement

    New to this forum, new to Explorers. Is there supposed to be axial play (in-out) in the rear drive shafts? The rear wheels on my wife's '93 Explorer can be moved about 5 mm in the direction of the shaft. Both wheels move the same amount, so it doesn't seem like the result of some random...

    Wife's newly bought Explorer '93 has no OD, no engine braking on 2nd or 1st. After changing the solenoids, cleaning the valve assy, running the fault code tests, adjusing the OD and intermediate bands etc. - nothing doing. Still no OD or engine braking. So today another day under the car -...
