Both front door interior GRAPHITE color w/ power windows panels on my wifes '02 S/T have turned to to a whiteish color where they are exposed to the sun.

I went to the Tousley Ford page to order a set of new ones and it states that the parts are.... discontinued.Even checked for a 2004. Those to have been dropped.

Any ideas where I can find new replacements?

looks to me if ford dealers are exhausted then your only option is someone parting theirs here or a junkyard

I had a perfect set but they went with my parts truck.

I PM'ed you a phone number for the guy that bought the parts truck. Give him a try.

Cant you just get some interior paint in a spray can and paint the ones you have?

problem with interior paint like the type you buy on the shelf at the auto store is that it is a single shade that may or may not match the factory color

It is worth a shot in my opinion to try this. Even if the color is slightly off, it wont bother you as much as the sunfaded white apperantly is. Then later if you come across a set of new panels you can grab them.

Experiment with the hair dryer or heat gun. You'll be surprised.

Or get the Dark Graphite for a Lightning from Latemodel Restoration Supply. Same color.

What does the heat gun do? I see the different shades on that one part but what was what?

Mine is doing the same thing. How did that heat bring the color back that? Do you have to use any product with the heat?

Just google it or search youtube "heat gun to restore plastic". Apparently it works great on most colors but gray doesn't tend to show as much improvement.

NC, this technique needs to be stickied.

I discovered it my accident while trying to "straighten" a plastic trim panel from a salvage I was fixing back up.

CAUTION: Be careful with the temperature!

No, nothing but heat.
