New 31's and Sensatracks, ride quality ???s
Before: bone stock 94 sport 5spd with worn tires and shocks. Rode pretty rough on washboard/potholed dirt roads.
After: new Big O Bigfoot XT (mud) 31-10.50-15 on American Racing rockcrawler style steel wheels and Monroe Sensatracks. Rides even rougher and gets to dancing sideways on the washboards. Also picked up a heavy side to side vibration at approx 65mph. Took it back to Big O after 400 miles, they re-balanced the tires/wheels 3 times, test driving in between, and still cant get rid of the vibration. They want to blame it on the oversized tires. Has anyone else had this problem when switching to 31's? Or is Big O pulling my crank? Should I switch to a different shock to try to tame the washboards? Stiffer, softer? Would a hydraulic steering stabilizer help or would I just be throwing $$$ at the problem. There are many knowledgable people on this forum and I value your opinions.
