about the 5.0L Explorer engine in the issue that just arrived in the mail on Friday. You V-8ers may or may not know just how special your ride is, but seems that Ford put something extra special under your hood. Unfortunately, now you're gonna have to beat all of your Mustang 5.0L buddies away with a stick to keep 'em from stealing your heads and intakes... Those of you considering a 5.0 swap may want to hold out for a genie Explorer engine instead of "any ol' 5.0". Other good hop-up info in the article also (Cobra intake, headers, etc).

Definitely worth a read - "Exploring The Possibilities" in the latest Hot Rod magazine.
