There are hotel(s) in attica. Maybe not as cheap but not a 45 minute drive. And traffic sucks in lafayette, but atleast the football game is an away game at Notre Dame that weekend.

Thanks for the info. I checked those out but they were almost double the price. I'm going to keep my fingers crossed and hope the traffic isn't too bad in Lafayette.

So what's the official count as far as people going? I'm planning on going, though I realized that I need to do some fender trimming now too, apparently my 31's can't clear my TT.

I got pretty close to 2", but my passenger tire is catching the inside of the fender flairs. I noticed so grinding it sounded like, got out and checked to see the the flair is starting to get ripped off. Tore it off of one of the screws, so I need to trim the fat. Only rubs when turning right real sharp pulling out of parking spaces.

DOn't feel too bad Mike. When I got my new tires I had to trim some more (including metal) and I'm still rubbing on the inside.....so if you rip off a flare, I"ll try my damnedest to do the same. :roll:

I'm still reading the thread. My dates for coming home from Iraq have been screwed up so many times it's not even funny. Believe me when i say i wanted to come more then anything, but it's just not possible. I'll be lucky if i get home on that wednesday, so there's no way i'd be able to come on the first weekend back. But i'll be ready as ever come late winter early spring!

Hey Arnie what hotel are you staying at in Laffayette? My wife actually wants to come and if it's only $50 a night we could swing that. Were trying to find a sitter for the kids that weekend, plus its our anniversarry weekend. So this could be GREAT fun! Oh yeah one more thing what city are the badlands in? I'd like to get directions.

Just leave early and come back late and you'll be fine, its a nice town just busy.

The Red Roof Inn was the hotel in Lafayette. Badlands are in Attica.

Yup....I am in the same boat. Broke and no time. Hopefully in a few months I will be able to get out, or at least a few times next year. This year has just been a mess. Next year...maybe I will have a different vehicle to take out too.

I'm here, I'm here... just a little busy with construction work on my home.

what is the date for the trip then? cause I'm going overseas tomorrow and will be gone till the October 2nd.

As for the motels ------ check Ramada in Lafayette - pretty nice hotel (indoor pool) and Super Wallmart in the back yard in case you need something real bad. Prices were good last time we were there.

so how many so far?

We might be able to push the trip a bit to accomodate some of the guys not able to make it that weekend... how about that?

Ok thanks. I couldn't believe my ears when my wife said she wanted to go. We still have some things to work out but things look like we'll be able to make it. The Ramada you say. Wal-Mart out back. My wife would LOVE it.

Well I requested the weekend of October 2nd off from work and made my hotel reservations already too. As for head count...I don't know exactly.

edit: If the X guys don't end up going that weekend I'll have to hang with the ZR2's all by myself.
