Powerdyne in-line fuel pump location?

Has anyone utilized the inline pump/FMU that comes with the Powerdyne SC kit?
It appears by the plumbing that it should mount to the inside fender apron as the FMU mounts on the firewall and the FMU connects to the pump, the pump to the fuel filter....but it seems cheezy to mount the pump on the plastic apron.

Ideas?

THanks
