Couple Thermostat Replacement Questions

When replacing the thermostat, do you guys take the hose from the housing or just pop the housing off?

Also, will a 1/4" ratchet with small socket reach all the holes? My 3/8" definately wont get in there and I lost my 10mm socket (darn).

Guess thats it. Thanks.

either way is fine, whatever you can get away with that works

i think i've done it both ways myself

on the 4.0 OHV there is one bolt that is a PITA to get at, i used the 10mm wrench and a flex-screwdriver with the 10mm socket to get it back in worked slick!!

no way in hell with you get a ratchet in there

I used a regular wrench, disconnected the upper radiator hose to get the housing top out. It's really tight and it takes a lot of short turns and the screws are super long. Patience.
