hua? are you asking if powedercoated wheels will hold up after 2 years?
Powedercoat, as long as its done right, and taken care of will last a long long time. However the reason most people go with a rockcrawler type wheel is so they can beat them up off road and not worry about chipping chrome or whatever, so usually they are just painted......but powder coating holds up awesome.. __________________ 96 Explorer daily driver build-1996 XLT 5.0L AWD to 4x4 conversion complete on 33's 88 BII 5.0L conversion - BII 5.0l drivetrain thread My Bronco II - 1988 Bronco II 4x4 V8 on 35's - registry and updates Wifes 07 FJ build - 2007 FJ cruiser locked and lifted |

Jaime makes a good point but if you happen to chip the powder coat (like, at the edge of the rim or spoke), water will get underneath and start to do evil things. Sometimes painted wheels have advantages. When they start looking nasty, clean 'em up and hit 'em with a fresh coat of paint.
If you're looking to go off-road, I suggest the painted wheels. If you're on-road and want something nice and to look good for a long time, powdercoat should work. |

I want those new teflon wheels, those are SICK!
I have found my chrome rims to be very stout, meaning they take alot of abuse from the trail, the road salt and and ice melter stuff they use here in CO (sodium something) the chrome has held up great over the years. However last year I got some 15x8 black mods and I use Krylon flat black to keep them looking new-ish....cheap and effective, plus it doesnt really matter if some overspray gets on the rubber

There's no reason why you cant rattle can (spray patin) over powdercoated stuff should the powder coat start chipping/pealing off.
