Question Remote starter

i had this brilliant idea since its starting to get chilly here in Northern california, i thought about maybe getting a remote start/ alarm system, but heres my problem do they make them for a manual or can i fix that safety switch thing on the clutch so i could use the remote start?

I dont know about the USA, I heard something once that remote starters for manual cars in the USA are illigal, probably just a myth thought. In canada they sell by pass kits. It allows you to bypass the clutch and also wont allow you to start the car if it is left in gear.

Do some research on it. You can get a remote start for a stick. Clifford & Compustar make some. They have safeguards that will not let you start unless the car is in N & the parking brake is on.
Remote starts that are meant for a stick, are safe.
I would stay away form any shop that rigs one to work, or any off brand system that claims to be able to bypass these safeguards. This is were you hear the stories of bad things happening.

That's right. The Clifford model(s) for manual will make you do an exit procedure which includes putting the car in neutral before you get out. It's pretty much fool proof if installed correctly.
