Always a start

This is my first X, had it for a couple of months.

Thank god that I stumbled over this exellent forum. "I'm not religious "

I had a nasty crack in my grillet (a flying rock from a passing semi.)

So I desided to repaint and fix my grill insert.

The tires were running on the last season so I also changed the from stock 255x70x16 to 275x55x16.
And wohaa what a difference it made on flat road, the side handling did improve ALOT.

I have alot more things that I want to do to my X and I have explorerforum as inspiration source.
I dont have the gear and place for all the extreme mods shown here.
But as the title says, Its a start. Who knows what will happen in the future.

I got it from a local metalshop, told them I wanted an aluminum mesh net.

Originally I wanted a black net, but they were out.

The next thing to do is fitting a new Performance air filter.

And oufcource since Im working with computers and related items Im about to mount a carpc into my X. Have a Fujitsu siemens Lifebook 10" touchscreen laptop that is going to be modified and fitted into the console, will be running the whole kit, tv, gps, internet, music and movies. It will be done during this summer.

I'd love to do the same. I have it all planned out... just no money for it! Are you just going to mount a dock somewhere and stick the laptop into that, then run an in-dash touchscreen and a bunch of USB gear (GPS, tuner, etc)?

Hm.. interesting? Isn't that laptop just a convertable tablet like similar ones from Toshiba and Gateway, meaning that you need the electronic stylus to operate the touch screen? Or are those "true" touch screens?

Its a true touchscreen that can be operated with a stylus or your finger.

Have got my hands on a roof antenna and a bluetooth gps module so Im hoping to get it ready really soon.

But I have some mechanical I have to fix first, the usual tesioner fault has occured, going to have it fixed this week.
