question mini spool dana 44 front axle good idea or not,i was given the axle not sure if i should leave the spool in or not.

it will make turning harder when its locked in, but not impossible.

Id run it if its already in.

i have a mini spool in my rear 8.8, and dont like it. if it were trailered, and not daily driven it would be just fine. not too sure about the front, but i can imagine it would tighten things up a bit.

Get an Aussie locker or a Lockright, a bit more expensive, but the steering is much easier.

I agree with costman13, I have a mini spool in the Ford 9" in my truck and it sucks trying to drive around town with it. Plus it eats up tires. I should have ponied up for a Detroit or something else.
