3rd gen Shocks Review and feedback ..

Hello all,

i know it been mentioned in several threads but i have not really seen any good reviews. I am about to install RB's kit and figured while there change the shocks and broken coils as well. iI have over 110K on it and the stock ones are junk.. and i am looking for a good replacement at a fair price...

I was considering the Monroe sensatracks and the Monroe Matics just cause of the price...

Does anyone have these? How many miles have the put on them? Feedback on each of the shocks would be great...

My truck needs shocks, but I keep holding out in hopes of a shock made specifically for a lowered 3rd gen.

thats what the monroe matics basically are.... they are under 30 bucks each...

So how many miles on your rig... how long have you had the Napa ones on there and most importantly are you happy??? What do have to say about them???

Also are you at stock height???

I appreciate the feedback i need to change mine asap.. and i am doing shocks, springs, RB spacers...etc... so i'm in for a long weekend...

$30?! I paid 100$ each for mine. I got 104k on mine it seems to ride softer but I'm at 3in front 2.5 rear with rb's it seems to bounce around alot though hardest part about changing the shocks it compressing the spring enough to bolt it back on

The monroe sensatracs are about 100 bucks each the monroe matics are a lot cheaper at around 30-40 bucks each... Do you have the sensatracks on your X????

quote"it seems to ride softer"
It's softer then stock and it bounces??? I was hoping to stiffen up the suspension a bit cause the stock is too soft...

quote"$30?! I paid 100$ each for mine."
I get a little bit of a better price, i have a friend that has a parts store and he cuts me some slack....

I am about to put in the 3/2.5 and i want shocks, how many miles have you put on the shocks??? You have 104 now but how many miles when you installed them???

The difference between the price is significant and i am trying to make the best decision...

Also do you have any rub on your spindle with the 3 in the front???

Thanks for all the input....

If you have pictures of the truck and the spindles that would be great... What happened to the motor???

So i guess you really didn't get a chance to try them out.... did you have the monroe matics or monroe sensa tracks after all???

Well i went to the shop today to pick them up and i stand corrected, they only make the sensa-tracks for our trucks no monroe matics and they are pricey...

They list them as available parts but they are regular shocks not coilover shocks..

Speaking of pricey over 100 bucks each.. i picked up a set of four (ouch) and springs to install this weekend... I don't know how everyone elses rides but mine is like a boat... handling what handling??

I'll keep you updated n the end result...
