So I picked up some rear tan leather seats from cherrybomb. My interior is grey, and I wanted black to match the front seat covers. I also thought leather would be easier to clean and less dusty for our terrain.
So I tried leather dye, but it was to slow...and this is a offroad rig. So back to the store and I got vinyl paint. They came out better then I thought, just need to scuff them a bit more to get rid of the shine. ![]() Before ![]() After

Wonder if it'll come off on your clothes in wet or hot situations?

Don't think so....It's made for Vinyl car seats and stuff...Besides I don't sit in the back seat
![]() after ten minutes, I took a wet scouring pad, and no black on the pad ![]() http://www.rustoleum.com/CBGProduct.asp?pid=117 __________________ The JP Mobile ~'99 Explorer XL The Mall Crawler ~'06 Explorer XLT The Tow Rig ~ '05 F-150 SuperCrew The Commuter ~ '10 Focus SES |

That's a pretty novel approach. I've been looking at doing exactly the same thing ever since i saw the results someone on here got with the leather dye. That is pretty shiny though
You think lightly sanding it might help? if you take off too much you can always throw some more on.

I acually saw them use it on a episode of "Trucks!" You just ruff them up with a scouring pad.
