Ok I found this POST sounds close to mine. If my 1993 Explorer sits for 4-5 days, it has troubles starting, you dont hear the fuel pump kick on. But once you get it started it stays running (well did). It would decide on its own when it was going to do the no start thing. However it only did not start when I was by myself. If i tried showing someone, it started!
I have done, plugs n wires, fuel filter. It did this before them and still after. Well going down the highway at like 60 mph jus shut off.... stereo, lights, heater was still on, but no gas/motor. Took about 10 mins and then it restarted, going back to drop it off at the house, it did it again, this time, took more like 20 mins to start. Each time you do not hear the whine from the fuel pump. Each time that it has done this there has been different amounts of gas in the tank, first time at 1/8 next at 1/4 then at 1/2 then at 1/4 then at 1/2 now at 3/4! Parked it waiting to hear back from yall. Thanks.
