that would be your multi function switch or mfs
do a search, its really easy to take a apart. i did mine in 15 mins.
you might just have a loose wire or 2

Indeed, it's related to the MFS or the wiring. It's not uncommon to find a pin or two has worked its way out of the connector over time. Pretty common issue with these trucks.

yep i kind of have the same problem, but on mine the blinkers/hazards will not work when the steering wheel is all the way down, but if you bring it up one click they work fine...

gotta love explorers!

I've seen issues with both the tilt wheel column pinching wires and also issues with the MFS.

Jsut as a hint, avoid the onslaught of pile-on's, and try not to post the same question in multiple forums. It ticks some off, and also fragments the responses for people who are searching later... :)

Usually people will hit the "new posts" tab when they sign on, so we'll see anything new no matter what forum they're in...

If I keep my 95 longer, im gonna replace mine, to get my squirters to work, I have to push the button in, and then wiggle the stick around til they squirt, then hold it there; and when I have my intermittent wipers on, if I hit a bump, they swipe, like I adjusted them or something, and sometimes have a couple minute delay on a fast setting. I had always thought it was a painful procedure, until reading this, if it takes 15 mins, I might be heading to the JY lol

Most of the time, it's one of the 'tabs' that hold the connector from the wire harness to the MFS. I have the same issue, pull off the plastic from the steering colum. (Should be 2-3 screws) and make sure it's tight.. adjust your wheel to where you're comfortable... keep it connected... get creative to get the broken connection to stay..... pretty easy fix to a small problem.
