Weathertech floor mats and 2nd row seating?

I have a 2002 Eddie Bauer Explorer. It has the third row seating. However, the 2nd row is where I have the question. I want to order some Weathertech floor mats, but I'm not sure if I have the bench, or bucket seats. The whole 2nd row is split up into three pieces. It's not one solid seat. I'm pretty sure that I have the bucket seats, but just want to make sure. It seems that the bench seat would be one solid piece. The seats are leather and the 2nd row folds down and the three sections lift up if I want.

Also, I live in Alaska. Autoanything.com wants to charge about $150 just for shipping. That's pretty standard for Alaska. Does anybody know of any other reputable places where I could check out the shipping prices? Thanks!

I recently purchased some Weathertech Digital Fit Liners from Weathertech directly for my 2004 Eddie Bauer, and Weathertech has standardized, flat-rate shipping which could save you some money on shipping costs. The liners are amazing, surprisingly nicer than the Husky liners I've had in previous vehicles, but also much more expensive.

My Explorer doesn't have the third row seats, so it has the 40/60 split bench second row. If I had to guess, I'd assume that when they refer to "bucket" they mean 40/20/40 with the center being a console of some sort, which I don't think any 3rd gens came with other than the Lincoln Aviator - but I could be wrong on that. I'm fairly certain, but don't take just my word on it, that the seat mount points are the same between the standard 40/60 bench and the 40/20/40 flip-forward seats you have, so the liners should be the same regardless of seat style. It may not be a bad idea to contact Weathertech directly and ask them. Good luck.

Tom

Thanks! I took a closer look and it appears that there is no difference between the two, rear floor mats. I don't know why it asks which 2nd row that I have. Anyways, standardized shipping never seems to apply to Alaska or Hawaii. It costs a fortune to have stuff shipped up here and/or it takes forever. I found a truck accessory dealer in town that sells Weathertech stuff. He quoted me $190 for the front and rear. They just have to be ordered. There's no sales tax here in Alaska so, it's probably cheaper than if I ordered them from Weathertech in the lower 48! I'm going to stop by tomorrow or the next day and order some. My neighbor was showing me the ones he has in his F-250. They're bad ass.

They are really nice, just be aware that it will take a while to get them after you order them. They make them post-order, so when I ordered mine they said to wait 7-10 business days before shipping, they weren't kidding because they didn't even ship until the 10th business day. However, the quality and fit are worth the wait.

The place is called Custom Truck Accessory and Performance Center. It's at 4748 Old Seward Highway. It's just south of Tudor Rd on the west side of Old Seward. Their phone number is 907-563-5490. I went in and ordered the mats today. They gave me a Military discount. I paid $250 for the front and rear mats and the window air deflectors! That's a great deal. All that stuff is $300 online + shipping. Looking in the phone book, I see that they have a store in Wasilla too. 6340 E. Parks Highway. 907-746-5220. The store here in Anchorage had the window deflectors in stock. I got them put on tonight. They are sweet! The floor mats are going to be here sometime in March. He said the wait time is about 6 to 8 weeks. April is when I get a lot of junk on my carpets here in AK.

I already have the side window deflector things, I will probably order my mats from jcw cause they come out cheaper and will probably get here before march.

Do you have any pics of your Explorer?

Well, if you order just the mats up here, you're looking at $200 for the front and rear. I thought I looked at JC Whitney and they were more expensive. They wanted something like $150 just to ship them to my house. Anyways, here's some pics of my Explorer right after I bought it. It still has the old deflectors on it in the photo. I added a bug shield to the hood too. Also, you can't really tell that it's red any more because it's so filthy. It really is a great vehicle for Alaska. Probably why I see so many of them.

You guys turned me onto that weathertech website, I've been wanting to buy new floor mats and I think those regular ones not the digital fit will be great. Slightly off topic but would you guys recommend a different brand of side window deflectors they seem kind of expensive but are they worth the money.
