factory radio upgrade

I just got a factory sub box, and wiring . Can I just plug this into my existing stereo, or do I need to have the stereo out of the vehicle?

no, I don't have the premium stereo as far as I know, but I did just tear the dash apart and find that the plug is exactly the same. I'm going to give it a try this weekend, hopefully. Cross your fingers for me!

so i was wrong. it turns out that if your stereo has the plug (encased in metal) up to the back of the head unit, you do have premium sound!

We have a place here in town with $1 installs if you buy the stereo from them, put a nice Kenwood in and he had a time wiring it because of the factory amp.All for a buck...nice.
