locking hub convertion

i want manual locking hubs for my 2002 sport exsplorer. right now it has a live axle in the front and i want better milelage and less wear driving on the road so dose any one make a kit that will fit my exsplorer or dose any thing swap over?

The only problem with the AVM hubs is they have proven themselves to not be very strong, although I'm considering them just to get less parts moving in the front end while driving.

strength?

Do we think they are strong enough for light occasional wheelen? I am no way as serious as other folks just some light offroadin and winter use.

They probably would be stong enough for that, if you want a few reviews just look on the ranger websites there are plenty of guys running them.

expensive swap

134 was the cheapest I could find the hubs on ebay
the cv's are going to be the real expense though
and the unit bearings, arent they like 145 a piece?

I suppose it's not bad if you plan on keeping your dana 35 for a long time, but I have a Dana44 sitting in the garage, lol
