iPhone/USB Cable routing?

Has anyone found a good way to route the USB cable from the bin in front of the shift lever so that the bin cover can be closed with the cable coming out?

I'm thinking about taking a Dremel to it but wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something.

Thanks!

This is an obvious oversight in the design. There should be a cut out in both this area, and the middle console for a cable to pass through. For me it's the power cord to our radar detector, so to date we've just had to leave the front compartment open.

I forget which, but when we test drive a Flex and Acadia, one of them had this cable pass through. I remember because my older daughters new car shopping test was to plug her Zune in and turn the radio up as loud as she could. One of these 2 I recall thinking had this pass through and I thought it was a nice touch.

Front center console (between the seats) has two cutouts for cables on the top of console front
edge.

The one below the MFT does not.

I was going to see if there was a way to pass a cable through the bottom and out the side of the console.

It's a bit funny that they put two cutouts in the center console- but no USB, just a 12V. I'll probably try to route something to that location, under the trim pieces. If I do get it done, I'll post something here.

I'll have to look again, I must have missed it.

Makes sense to put the cut-outs in the console with only 1 outlet, and not the one with 4.

1 amp of epi & 360 joules and this thread lives again!

Has anyone found a clean way to run cables through the dash? I hate having cords hanging down off the dash in front of the MFT screen. Right now I have my GPS on the other side of the dash speaker and would love to move it to the drivers side by the pillar, but to do that I need to route the cable so its out of the way. Suggestions and pictures would be grand.
