Sockets, wrenches, screw drivers, hammer, pry bar, channel locks, flashlight, razor knife, allen wrenches...basicly these and anything else you find room for in your tool box.

I have about the same setup as Kent, but I carry a 3/8 drive torx bit set with t50's in case I see a sweet steering wheel or need to remove seatbelts.

Some PB blaster or wd-40 to hit those rusted bolts/fasteners with.

A cordless drill, even a cheap one will make your life easier once you loosen nuts or whatever by hand then speed them off with the drill.

I try to bring the X or the Van when I go to the yard. I never know what parts I"m gonna end up with..

As for tools, I have a HFT socket set which is in a blow mold case. It has from tiny up to 7/8 in 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2 drive.

I also bring a metric adjustable, screw drivers and pry bar, wire cutters and plyers.

I also bring a combo wrench set both SAE and Metric. Its from 5/16th up to 1-1/4".

lately I've been bringing a co2 bottle and my impact wrench.

Yes, I use a wheel barrow at the you pull it. Eventually I'll bring my own cart for the tools and parts..

Most times I don't have to bring everythign with me into the yard, but you just never know what your going to pull at a you pull it place.

I bring my standard socket set with a pipe to give me leverage on those seized up blots. Hasn't done me wrong yet.

Here are both my co2 bottles and the impact wrench and air hose I use.. The regulator we use on the co2 is a 150psi fixed regulator from polyperformance.

DIY co2 on board air systmes by maniak_az, on Flickr

I just recently picked up the small bottle which is 5lbs. The big bottle is the 20lbs bottle and is twice the size of a powertank. We used about 5 lbs (1/4) of the 20 lbs tank during the last wheeling season so I expect the 5 lbs tank to be more than enough for my junk yard visits.

I know some people like using 12v impacts etc (or 14v or 18v), but I don't own one of those and I have very bad luck with battery powered devices since the AZ heat is so extreme. It doesn't matter if I use them or not, they don't last me more than a year.
